WHAT MOTIVATED OUR DECISION TO MAKE THIS COIN: Our decision to create the George W. Not enough of our elected officials have been willing to stand up and demonstrate the courage needed to hold those accountable in the Bush administration for the many serious crimes committed against not only our Constitution but also against the sovereign nation and people of Iraq. When Bush/Cheney slink out of office on January 20, 2009 we expect them to work very hard to re-write their history with the help of the vast right wing spin machine and a compliant media. They may succeed...if we let them. They will also make millions of dollars giving high profile speeches...if we let them. They will also become active in high profile business deals with corporations who have profited at taxpayer expense during their administration...if we let them. The same way white collar criminals like Ollie North and G. Gordon Liddy have rebuilt their reputations and bank accounts. The damage from the Bush Administration may be irreparable or it could take decades to undo. At this time, we may have only seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of the extent of this damage. We also don't expect the Democratic leaders, if the Democrats take the White House and hold their majorities in Congress, to investigate with intent to prosecute Bush/Cheney for any crimes like Dennis Kucinich has suggested they should. Instead they will try to convince Americans "we need to move on" as if this would bring any of us satisfaction in terms of justice being served.
